My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the Tin Top Restaurant last Saturday night. Because of the Memorial Day traffic and congestion on the island, we decided to drive a few miles northwest to what turned out to be one of the best meals I have had in quite some time.

We started things off with the lobster-crab bisque, which was great, despite the warm weather. Shannon ordered the Filet topped with a crab cake and a lobster cream sauce. The steak could not have been cooked any better, and the crab cake and sauce was a nice compliment to dish. I ordered the Pecan-encrusted Grouper, topped with a crawfish cream sauce. One thought comes to mind: mouth-watering! Everything was great, the meal, the service and the ambiance. The Tin Top Restaurant and Oyster Bar is truly a Gulf Coast hidden gem.
