The beaches are back!  It was a busy Memorial Day weekend in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, as the crowds arrived in near-record numbers. 

 One could only guess the number of people just by the volume of traffic.  The beaches were packed, as well as area restaurants and bars.  Hank Williams and Lynyrd Skynrd performed to a sold-out audience at the Wharf Amphitheater (click on the thumbnails below for larger photos), and the Flora-Bama was packed all weekend long.  If this holiday weekend is any indication of the number of vacationers to expect this summer, everyone looks to be in store for a great season.
