corey-smith.jpgORANGE BEACH, Ala.— Music sensation Corey Smith rocks The Amphitheater at The Wharf Saturday, August 4. With a catalogue of hard-hitting songs, a mesmerizing live performance, and an enormous internet presence, Smith is forging ahead with an independent, do-it-yourself attitude, and posting numbers that leave little room to doubt his success.

Smith grew up in Jefferson, GA, soaking up an array of music from George Jones to Lynyrd Skynyrd to Nirvana to Tupac. The Georgia native melds country, rock and blues into a sound that is all his own. That distinctive musical flair combined with Smith’s pensive, well-crafted lyrics and soulful Southern voice has earned him an enthusiastic legion of fans.   As special guest, Michael Warren brings a fresh, new sound to The Amphitheater. Originally from Hoover, AL, Michael wasted no time working towards his musical dream. In 2005, he was honored with an invitation to perform in a nationally televised UNCF fundraising concert.  In 2006, he traveled to Germany on a USO tour to play for front-line troops on leave from Iraq. In 2007, Corey finished recording a PBS/CPT TV special, won the 2007 BAMA Award for best singer/songwriter and is about to release his second full length CD.   Don’t miss a spectacular line-up! With tickets starting as low at $19.50/person, don’t miss this chance to see Corey Smith with Michael Warren at The Amphitheater at The Wharf Saturday, August 4, 2007! Concert begins at 8 p.m., gates open at 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale beginning this Saturday, July 14, and can be purchased through Ticketmaster, at The Amphitheater box office, or at The Wharf Store on Main Street.    For more information on the 2007 Pepsi Star Concert Series visit www.TheWharfAL.com.
