  Smith grew up in Jefferson, GA, soaking up an array of music from George Jones to Lynyrd Skynyrd to Nirvana to Tupac. The Georgia native melds country, rock and blues into a sound that is all his own. Originally from Hoover, AL, Michael wasted no time working towards his musical dream. In 2005, he was honored with an invitation to perform in a nationally televised UNCF fundraising concert.  In 2006, he traveled to Germany on a USO tour to play for front-line troops on leave from Iraq.
