Jimmy Buffett & Friends Concert Postponed

Because the Jimmy Buffett & Friends Concert is being held directly on the beach, the current full moon creating high tides (3-4 foot seas today and 5-6 foot seas Wednesday and possibly Thursday as well), along with the storm in the Gulf creating higher seas, the concert has been postponed.
Unfortunately, the artists are unable to postpone the concert for a day or two or later in the weekend. We will be updating our website and Facebook pages with the new dates as soon as they are released.
To all Kaiser Realty guests, if you would like to move your reservation to the new concert dates, we will accommodate you in every way possible. We realize there are many coming for the concert and would like to offer you an additional 10% discount to keep your current reservation – we know there are other great events taking place in the area this weekend to make your July 4th Holiday Weekend enjoyable. However, if you decide to cancel your reservation, we will issue you a complete refund.

i spoke to the CVB just a bit ago and they said all tickets will be sent to the rental companies today – will these still be placed in our rental package at check in ?

Thank you for the update. Although it is disappointing, it is completely understood with regard to the weather. Gulf Shores/Orange Beach will rise above this!! Despite this news, We are keeping our reservations for July 1-5 and would like to benefit from the 10% additional discount. As soon as we know of the new dates, we will be making reservations (if it works out with our schedule) with you because we want to be part of this awesome concert!!
Thanks again for all of your updates. You guys make us want to go and experience other things in the area. See you on Thursday!!

From the Desk of Gulf Shores Mayor Craft: The Jimmy Buffett & Friends Live from the Gulf Coast concert has been rescheduled for Sunday, July 11, 2010.
GULF SHORES, ALABAMA – June 28, 2010, 4:00p.m.
The foundation for the stage on which Jimmy Buffett was to perform is threatened to be undermined by increased surf conditions, and therefore the Jimmy Buffett concert has been rescheduled for Sunday, July 11th.
While the storm is not a threat to the area, increased water inundation at the beach is not conducive to keeping the large stage stable in the sand. “This is a disappointment, obviously, but Jimmy Buffett is still coming to the Gulf Coast on July 11, and tickets will be honored at that time,”’ said Mayor Robert Craft. “We will look forward to his being here later. The Montgomery Gentry concert is still planned for the Wharf, and the two July 4th fireworks shows will go on as planned. Only the July 1 concert will be temporarily postponed.
