37th Annual National Shrimp Festival in Gulf Shores, ALThe 37th Annual National Shrimp Festival kicks off on Thursday, October 9 and runs through Sunday, October 12, 2008 in Gulf Shores, AL. This year’s festival looks to be bigger than ever, bringing in national sponsor Zatarain’s. This festival is truly one-of-a-kind and offers something for everyone. Enjoy live entertainment, fine arts, arts and crafts and a retail market place, all located outdoors along the beautiful, white sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. Oh…I forgot to mention SHRIMP and lots of it!

The entertainment lineup for the 37th Annual National Shrimp Festival is bigger and better than in years past. Headliners include Molly Hatchet, Dr. Zarr’s Amazing Funk Monster, Wes Loper and the Tip Tops, just to name a few. With 2 stages, you are sure to be entertained.

Fine arts will be on display and for sale during Shrimp Fest, as well as other arts and crafts featuring local and out-of-town artists. You won’t be going home empty handed.

Let’s get to the good part….the food! Imagine shrimp cooked any way and every way possible, and you may begin to imagine Shrimp Fest. Whether it is fried, boiled, grilled or steamed, the shrimp will be everywhere, so make sure you  come hungry.
