(Magnolia Springs, AL)  One of the South’s most beautiful venues for a running event is Magnolia Springs, AL.  The South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce invites you to run (or walk!) under the fabulous canopy of stately oak trees for its 6th Annual Hotel Magnolia 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Fun Run on Saturday, April 4 at 8:00 a.m..  Kaiser Realty, Inc. is proud to sponsor this USATF certified 5K event.  Make it a weekend!  This quaint south Alabama town dates from a Spanish land grant in 1800 and sits at the headwaters of the Magnolia River.  Runners will pass Jesse’s Restaurant, Moore Bros. Village Market, and  St. Paul’s Episcopal Church (1902).  Next time you’re in  town, perhaps you’ll catch the pot-luck dinner at the Community House (1894).   If you make friends with a Magnolia Springs resident who lives on the river, you may have the rare opportunity to see what happens only in this small village and nowhere else in the United States:  U.S.  mail delivered by boat!
