Poster for the 2012 Orange Beach Festival of ArtsA Gulf Coast tradition for more than 30 years, the Orange Beach Festival of Art has been entertaining, mesmerizing and inspiring others with created displays and catchy tunes.  Considered to be the first big event of the spring, the Orange Beach Festival of Art (OBFOA) will feature more than 90 visual artists, two stages worth of non-stop music and entertainment and culinary creations from the areas most talented chefs.

Kicking off at 10:00 a.m. March 10th and 11th and closing down at 5:00 p.m. both days, this event is a must see for any art, food or music fan. Costing just $1 for entry, the Orange Beach Festival of Art may just be the best value along the Gulf Coast! (more…)

USSSA 2nd Annual Battle of the Best Global WSQ NIT

When it comes to elite little league baseball, the USSSA “Battle of the Best Global” tournament has it all. Featuring 24 teams ranging from 8U to 14U, this is going to be one of the premier youth baseball tournaments in the Southeast. Games will be featured at locations in Gulf Shores, Orange Beach and Foley from May 26th through May 28th.

The lead pack at the 2011 kaiser Realty Cycle the Coast for a CureThe 6th Annual “Kaiser Realty, Inc. Cycling the Coast for a Cure” is set for April 14th, 2012, starting and finishing at Tacky Jack’s Grill & Tavern, in Orange Beach. As the company’s primary fundraiser for the American Cancer Society’s “Relay for Life,” this event is family focused. The relaxing ride is intended to bring together the community and showcase the Gulf Shores / Orange Beach area. Featuring a 13 mile “Fun Ride”, 21 mile “Short Course” or 37 mile “Long Course,” cyclists of all ages and skill levels are invited to participate and show their support for the American Cancer Society

Raising thousands of dollars with hundreds of participants in 2011, this year’s event is expected to be one of the spring’s most anticipated fundraisers.
