captain Johnny Greene's The IntimidatorOrange Beach / Gulf Shores, AL – We have been fishing a fair amount over this month so far and have had some great trips mixed in with some good weather to go with it.  The 4 hour trolling trips are starting to pick back up as the water clears out from Tropical Storm Lee.  We are seeing some impressive number of Spanish Mackerel starting to show up too.  The half day family trips are continuing to be a great trip with lots of fun and smiles for all the family’s who choose this option to spend some time on a charter fishing trip.

The full day trips are doing really good with big Amberjacks right now as that season continues to be just red-hot!  We have had some wonderful catches of Jacks on the full day trips.  Keep in mind on these trips sometimes it is not the hours you are buying but the fuel and you will be happy when you get back to the dock with a cart of pretty fish!

The biggest high light of the fall so far is that the big triggerfish are starting (more…)

Kaiser Realty Employees at the 2010 Alabama Coastal Cleanup

This Saturday, September 17th, marks the 24th Annual Coastal Cleanup, organized by Alabama PALS (People Against A Littered State) in Gulf Shores, Fort Morgan and Orange Beach. The event kicks off at 8 a.m., with volunteers from around the area walking designated sections of our beautiful coastline to insure the beaches are nice and tidy for everyone’s enjoyment.

“Approximately 5,000 volunteers picked up 100,000 pounds of litter from our treasured Gulf Coast region,” during the 2010 Coastal Cleanup, ensuring that thousands of others can enjoy our sugar white sand beaches.  This year, volunteers will once again be combing the beaches to perfection, but will also be cleaning along the Hwy 59 corridor, from I-65 all the way to Gulf Shores. This will provide a brilliant introduction of the Gulf Coast to those traveling towards the Gulf Shores, Fort Morgan and Orange Beach areas.

Volunteers are encouraged to meet at one of the various gathering points on Saturday and be sure to bring water, sunscreen and a hat or visor of some kind.  Along with individual sponsored sections of the coast, general volunteer meeting places along the beaches are  (more…)

There is one day each year when the planets seem to align perfectly to create what is often times referred to as the “happiest day on earth” … Father’s Day.

OK, this might not be exactly the case, but at Kaiser Realty, that is how we want all the dads out there to feel.  That is why we have put together this list of great Father’s Day activities for the dads to do on their special day here in Beautiful South Baldwin County.

Wahoo Fishing- Charter a boat for the day:  This is a great chance to get a group of dads together and leave all the worries back on the shore.  It can be on a fishing charter like Captain Johnny Greene’s boat the Intimidator offers, a glass bottom dolphin tour like the good people at Dolphins Down Under or even an open water sail like Wild Hearts offers its patrons.  No matter what times of time you decide to spend on the water, your sea legs and clear mind will thank you.

- A Day on the Links:  Here is the perfect opportunity for those looking for an activity to do either (more…)

If you are a fishing fanatic, and looking to be a part of something HUGE, then you will not want to miss the 78th annual Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo (ADSFR) right out of Dauphin Island.

For years the ADSFR has claimed to be both the oldest and largest organized saltwater fishing tournament in the world, but this year, they are looking to make that claim official.  The Guinness Book of World Records will be on-site to account for all participants and see if they can officially put Dauphin Island in the Record Book.  Rodeo officials are expecting an even larger turnout than the recent 3,100 anglers at past years’ event (the 2010 tournament was cancelled), and with over 30 categories and $400,000 in cash and prizes, (more…)
