Battle of Mobile Bay Reenactment This Weekend at Fort Morgan

ftmorgan2The Civil War battle of Mobile Bay, famous for Admiral David Farragut’s order, “Damn the torpedos, full speed ahead,” will be reenacted this weekend, July 31-Aug. 2, at Fort Morgan, 22 miles west of downtown Gulf Shores, AL. Counting Crows to Perform at the Wharf Amphitheater

counting-crowesThe Wharf in Orange Beach, AL recently announced another addition to their “Pepsi Star Concert Series.” Counting Crows will be live at the Wharf on August 7, 2009, along with special guests, Michael Franti, Spearhead and Augustana.

Counting Crows rose to fame with the hit song, “Mr. Jones,” a cut from their 1994 album August and Everything After.  They were nominated for an Academy Award for their song “Accidentally in Love,” which was included on the Shrek 2 soundtrack.
